Sustainable subscription at ByKay

At ByKay, we believe that a subscription is much more sustainable than buying a baby carrier.

In addition, you are very flexible with us, which comes in handy during your baby's growth. Who knows, maybe your little one wants to be carried for longer than you had anticipated? Or do you want to use a sling first and then switch to a baby carrier? With our subscription, you decide when to return the baby carrier (after the chosen minimum rental period), or if you want to switch. Want to make your subscription even more durable and financially attractive? Then choose a used baby carrier, instead of a new one. Upon expiration, you return the baby carrier or sling to ByKay and we will make sure it will be worn again. In addition, by carrying you and your baby also produce'the love hormone' oxytocin in large quantities for free. So that's double enjoyment!

How does it work?

  • Pick out your favorite baby carrier(s), new or a second-hand from our Marketplace.
  • You choose your (minimum) rental period. You can always keep the baby carrier longer!
  • Place your order and we will ship it within a maximum of 24 hours (on business days).
You pay the first month directly when ordering. Then every month, 5 days before the new month starts, you will receive an email with invoice, the amount will be debited automatically. Are you done wearing? Let us know via email and return your baby carrier, and the rest will be taken care of!
And we think with you: we take care of the shipping costs to you!

You do this simply by choosing the option 'rent' in our webshop and then selecting the minimum number of months you want to rent the baby carrier. You always pay the first month in advance when you order and the next direct debit is one month after delivery.

Your subscription starts at the time of ordering, i.e. from the time of payment. Your baby carrier, if ordered before 3 p.m., will be shipped the same business day.

At ByKay, you subscribe for a minimum period of time. You choose this period yourself when ordering your product. You can choose a period of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. The longer the minimum period, the lower your monthly subscription fee. After this minimum period, you can cancel the rental contract daily. You always have the right to return products unused within 14 days of ordering. All shipping costs in this case are for your own account.

After the minimum rental period, your subscription is automatically renewed. You can cancel your subscription by mail (info@bykay.com) with your order number and by returning the baby carrier. Once we have received the baby carrier, we will stop your subscription.

There is no maximum rental period. You can rent the products for as long as you want.

Your subscription runs automatically and can be cancelled daily from then on. Your monthly fee remains the same as during your minimum rental period.

If your first payment is received on a business day before 3 p.m., it will be given to the bicycle courier the same day. Normally you will receive the product the next day. If you place your order over the weekend, it will be given to the courier on the next working day, so you will receive the product on the 2nd working day after ordering at the earliest.

Are you done wearing it? Send an email to info@bykay.com and provide your order number. The subscription will be permanently discontinued by us once we receive the baby carrier. You remain responsible for the rented baby carrier until it is received by us. If you wish to terminate the subscription, the baby carrier must be returned to us before the start of the new subscription period.

Do you want to stop your subscription before your minimum rental term ends? Then you will still receive an invoice for the remaining terms of the subscription.

We will cover the shipping costs to your address. Return costs are at your own expense.

Please note that you remain responsible for the baby carrier until it is received by us in good order. We recommend keeping the track&trace code until you receive confirmation from us that the subscription has been cancelled.

We recommend having the baby carrier in your home about 2 weeks before the due date.

You can register your return via email or chat (info@bykay.com). The return address is ByKay, Kruisberseweg 44a, 6601 DD, Wijchen. The return is at your own expense, you remain responsible for the baby carrier until we have received it in good order. We recommend keeping the shipping receipt until we have notified you that the subscription has been cancelled.

Always keep the original box and packing slip you receive with your order. Sending these back with you will allow us to process the discontinuation of your subscription. The packaging must be unpainted and undamaged. If the original box is damaged or missing, we will charge €14.95.

Do you have the product longer than 14 days and your minimum rental period has not yet expired? Send an email to info@bykay.com with your name, phone number, order number and reason for exchange. We will then contact you to come to a solution.

The cost for the interim exchange of a product is a one-time 39 euros. This is the cost of exchanging, shipping and cleaning the product. Any more or less cost of the newly chosen baby carrier will be adjusted.

Once your minimum rental period is over, you can cancel your current subscription and return your baby carrier. You may then choose a new subscription with another baby carrier of your choice.

Yes, you can! The insurance covers 100% of the repair costs if the baby carrier is damaged during the rental period.

Loss and theft are not covered by insurance (theft is covered by your own liability or travel insurance, if any). In the above cases, please do always contact our customer service immediately to report theft, loss or damage.

For sustainability reasons, we are happy to receive the baby carriers back so we can give them a second life through our Marketplace. If you would still like to keep the baby carrier to continue wearing, please contact us to discuss options!

Subscriptions can only be taken out in the Netherlands and Belgium. Living in another country and still want to use our subscription service? Please contact us about the possibilities. Most likely there will be extra costs involved.

Yes, this is possible. You can extend the term, which will start from the next debit. You can also shorten the term by buying out the contract. Please contact us for these changes.
