The stretchy baby sling is indispensable if you want to carry for a long time. You can use this sling from day one, up to 18 pounds. You carry your baby on your belly and later possibly on your hip so your baby can look with you more easily.
You tie the stretchy sling first, then you put your baby in it safely and securely. Tying the ends of the sling can be done on your back, hip or tummy. A sling always fits your baby's size seamlessly. There is no limit to carrying in a sling because carrying promotes physical and mental development.
You can carry as much as you and your baby like, which is convenient... because there will probably be lots of naps in this comfortable baby carrier! You choose the size (M or L) according to your own stature and clothing size. Check the size chart to see which size fits you best. Are you not carrying alone? Then see which size fits the largest person. A sling that is too long is no big deal, you just have a little more fabric "left over" (which either falls into a longer tail or you have more fabric around your waist).
You have your hands free with this stretchy sling from day one until about three years of age.

After tying, spread the shoulder strap of the sling over your baby's back, spreading the fabric from hollow of knee to hollow of knee and over the shoulders, for an ergonomic M position.
Pull the belly band, or the horizontal belly part (with the little label), up to the neck so that the angled cloth strips stay in place, then you will have enough neck support.
Make sure the back has a natural curve (hips tilted toward you, as if your baby were sitting on his buttocks).
Spread the sling wide over your shoulders for even better weight distribution.
Do not pull the shoulder strap over your baby's head, always make sure you have plenty of fresh air.

The Stretchy Wrap Deluxe, or stretchy sling, can be used for babies up to about 18 pounds. In practice, the stretchy sling is usually used up to a year, after which our clients often switch to a woven sling, baby carrier or meitai.

The Stretchy Wrap Deluxe is available in the following lengths:

Size M (460cm)

Size L (550cm)

Suitable for clothing size:

Size M is suitable for women's size 32 to 44 and men's size S, M and L

(with a length up to about 185-190cm).
Size L is suitable for women's size 44 to 50 and men's size L, XL and larger.

In practice, size M is the best choice for 95% of our customers. It does not mean that if you normally wear clothing size L, you also choose a size L sling. Basically you tie the sling on your back, if the ends are too long you pull them forward and tie them on your belly. The stretchy fabric will also stretch slightly in use, making the sling slightly longer. A sling that is too long is more impractical than convenient.

Is trying on just too short for you to judge if this baby carrier is your best match? Then ByKay offers a 1, 3, 6 or 12-month carrier subscription: you can try the carrier at home with your own baby, in peace and quiet. Not entirely satisfied? Then simply return it or change to another model. This way you can discover what really suits you.

No worries! You can exchange or return your order within 30 days (please register your return within 14 days).
