A simple carrying system for short periods, which is easy to take with you. That's what I was looking for as my daughter grew older, started to discover the world, and shopping without a stroller became a challenge. Cycling into town and then going into a store with a toddler in your arms isn't always practical.

The arrival of the ring sling was ideal. Together on the bike and the ringsling in the pannier. After dismounting, put the ringsling on, Ilse in it and that way I could do some shopping at my leisure. Ilse loved it too. There was enough to see, we could have a nice chat and when she was tired I pushed her a little in front and she could doze off.
We also took the ring sling on vacation right away. Easy to take on the plane and in a backpack on the go for short trips.
Because Ilse was already a bit bigger when I started using the ring sling, she naturally weighed a bit heavier. You notice that while carrying her. It is therefore important to use the ring sling in the right way so that you have as little discomfort as possible on your shoulder. Also, the ring sling is more suitable for short moments than an extended walk.
I recently saw a mother using the ring sling with her few weeks old baby. As she sat with her on her lap, she put the ring sling on, tightened it and was still sitting with her hands free for her toddler daughter with the baby in the ring sling.
Now that Ilse is an enterprising toddler and likes to run around on her own I don't use the ring sling as often but it is still an ideal carrying aid from time to time!
