When your little one is born, you want to enjoy and recover together for a bit, and as soon as you are back on your feet, enjoy carrying.
We are often asked what the most ideal baby carrier is for a newborn baby. Of course, it is a personal choice, depending on what you find most comfortable to carry. We find theslingand theMyKay to be themost ideal from day one.
Tying a baby sling is not as difficult as it seems and, after a little practice, it becomes very easy. It's just like riding a bike! The stretchy sling is even easier to tie than the woven sling, because you can tie it completely before putting your baby in it.

If you don't like tying such a long cloth, the MyKay is a solution. This pre-shaped half buckle baby carrier is attached to your back with a clip and tied off. Because you tie it horizontally under your arms, your baby is never too low in the carrier and there is perfect neck support.
The disadvantage of a (stretchy) sling and a MyKay is that you cannot use them until your child is a toddler. If you want to carry your child for longer, a baby carrier or Meitai (or woven sling) is the most ideal option.
Is your budget limited, or would you still like to carry your baby from day 1 to age 3 with a single baby carrier? Our baby carriers can be adjusted to a smaller size, so you can carry your baby from day one. Not every baby will fit as perfectly in these as in a sling or MyKay, but in general, with the right adjustments, your baby can be carried in our baby carriers from day one.
Are you unsure if your baby is seated properly? Don't hesitate to take a video and have it reviewed by our babywearing consultants! Of course, you can also contact a babywearing consultant in your area. Should your baby just not fit well in the baby carrier, you can bridge a few weeks by renting a sling or MyKay from us until your little one is big enough for the baby carrier.
Enjoy wearing it!
